My forgotten dream

Deep down in a space,

At the very bottom of my heart,

It lies buried and forgotten.

It was once the light of my life,

And the sparkle in my eyes,

Now it lies completely abandoned.

It shows its presence,

In my most alone moments,

Crying to be recognized,

And seeking to be acknowledged.

But I am lost in my world,

Of practicality and social norms,

That all it leaves me with,

Is a touch of melancholy.
