Entrainment 2025
The auditorium reverberated, excitement filled the air, and energy was not just seen and heard but felt in every corner of the hall. Over 1,300 of us were on our feet, jumping, dancing, screaming, squealing in ecstasy, joy, bliss and happiness. Young and old alike, from a three-month-old baby, to toddlers, to 75- and 80-year-olds, all celebrating in their own way, clapping, waving, dancing, drumming and whistling. A congregation of people from across the world, welcoming our annual residential retreat, Entrainment 25. It was a sight to behold as the auditorium roared in welcome for the one, our Guru Mahatria!
Entrainment, a blend of Entertainment and Enlightenment, is the celebration of the birth of the name ‘Infinitheism’, the spiritual movement founded by my Guru Mahatria.
Infinitheism is derived from -
‘Ism’ a group of people sharing one common belief.
‘Theism’ a group of people who believe in the existence of God.
‘Infinitheism’ a group of people who have unflinching faith in an infinite cosmic presence.
We ‘Infinitheists’ enjoyed four days of sheer bliss and celebration, nourishing not just our souls but also our senses and tummy!
The theme for this year was ‘Life is Easy’. The moment I heard it, I paused. With tariffs wreaking havoc in most businesses, and the threat of AI looming over every salaried person. There is so much uncertainty and so many unknowns. Can life really be easy?
Life is shaped by our perspectives and perceptions, and as these shift, so does our experience of living. My first shift came when Mahatria said, ‘You are small, but when you represent something big, the big carries you and you become that.’ I have always believed that I am small. I have my small world within this world that listens, accepts and loves me. My goals and ambitions are for myself, to get an ‘x’ amount in my bank account, to keep my close and extended family, friends and myself healthy and to keep growing in love with them. When Mahatria said, ‘You are small,’ I could totally relate and understand it.
But what he said next was mind-blowing. ‘When you represent something big, the big carries you and you become that.’ A few days after coming back from Entrainment, I experientially realised that by representing a higher purpose, we reach higher levels too. Two years ago, my mentor, Megha Bajaj, decided to showcase love in different forms. She invited people to share their real-life experiences and stories of love. What started within the community became a love movement and today has taken form as a book – an anthology of 111 stories of love. Her purpose was to help the world experience love in different forms, like never before.
111 stories of love, falling in love, finding love, losing love and becoming love.
Today, the book is on its way to becoming the book of the year and a best seller, with over 1000 copies preordered already. Mine was just a small part, that of an author contributing one story. Yet by becoming part of a larger purpose, that of helping the world see love in different ways, I too became something more than just myself. I became a published author of ‘Love Multiplied (111 times)’ along with 110 other authors. It is my first ever published book, even if playing a minuscule part, a dream come true moment unfolded for me. We are going to have a grand launch with over a 1000 people joining us offline and thousands more joining online to celebrate love and the book. By embracing a larger purpose, our lives often expand in ways we can never have imagined.
My second shift came when Mahatria explained, in wildlife photography, the best photograph is not necessarily the one that zooms in to capture the animal. Sometimes it becomes necessary to zoom out and capture the habitat along with the animal for it to become a masterpiece. In life, too, sometimes we need to zoom in and sometimes zoom out, and the right lens can make all the difference.
I had an opportunity to implement this learning in Entrainment itself. During one of the sessions, Mahatria called the children to dance on the stage. My five-year-old child was interested but hesitant to go up. Seeing her indecisiveness, Mahatria directly called her, but she refused to go.
Mahatria is our Guru, and being around Him is a blessing. But here was my child, specifically called by Him but unwilling to go. I could have felt disappointed or angry. Instead, I simply chose to zoom out of her response and zoom in on the fact that my Guru’s eyes fell on her. Of all the children present there, she got a chance to be called by Him, and that to me is a priceless, cherishable and happy moment to treasure.
Just by zooming in on what was great about the moment and zooming out of what wasn’t, I have chosen to process the moment as a happy celebration and not as a missed opportunity. When the session got over, I asked why she refused to go up. She said she was happy to see all the children dancing and enjoyed watching them. Such an innocent response, and I was so glad that I did not get angry or restless with my child but chose to see what went right and cherish it. Maybe life can be easy after all?
Perhaps life is easy when I carry a bigger purpose than just myself and choose to see it through the right lens – zooming in on what uplifts me and zooming out on what pulls me down…
How do you think you can make your life easy?
