Nature is ... This and this too

Over the vast blue sea,
That seems to meet the sky,
Rises a red and yellow ball,
Spreading its glow and shine,
Sometimes presenting without a drama,
Sometimes peeping from behind the clouds,
This golden ball gives us rays and sunshine.
Ah, this is nature,
What beauty and shine,
Shimmering in the water below,
Lighting the skies above,
It leaves us spellbound,
Dissolved in its majestic sight,
We lose ourselves to it,
Without a blink or a flicker,
This is nature, as I have always known,
I cherish it deep, in my hearts corner.

There it stands, towering and gallant,
Romancing the clouds grounded and valiant,
Many mysteries and secrets holding in its bosom,
It calls to me expectant in anticipation,
It takes me through its bends and curves,
Each time revealing a tiny part of itself,
I squeal in excitement at the view around,
Ah this is nature,
So enormous yet so delicate,
Lush greenery amidst the color of the earth,
Tiny stream flowing between the huge rugged rocks,
It is so huge, and I stand atop,
Touched by the cool moist air,
Caressed by the fog and the dew,
The power that surges within me, awaken and reborn,
This is nature, as I have always known,
I cherish it deep, in my hearts corner.

There it is alive and vibrant,
Dancing to its beats,
Flowing in its own rhythm,
Everything it touches somehow turns magical,
It is the very essence for our survival,
It has given birth to life of many forms,
It is the one that carries us when we are gone,
Ah this is nature,
So pristine and pure,
It quenches our thirst with water so cool,
It nourishes our food with all its love,
It carries us around gentle and graceful,
It is a sight that calms a disturbed soul,
Humbled I am to meet such a giver,
Who gives so openly so uninhibited,
This is nature, as I have always known,
I cherish it deep, in my hearts corner.

Oh, this is nature, as I have always known,
Seeing and experiencing since I was a child,
It is a refugee from my mundane life,
To recharge, to refresh, to rejuvenate,
My body, mind and soul,
This is nature, I always reach out,
To fill my being with bliss and peace.
I wish to hold it all day and night,
To feel its magnificence to get lost in its love,
But is this the only nature, that I can find?
I wonder yearning to always hold on.
Slowly this love expanded within me,
My eyes opened, my ears heard, my nose smelled,
My heart embraced and my brain could behold,
All small wonder always around,
This too is nature, as I am getting to know,
I cherish it deep, in my hearts corner.

The dance of the trees to the tunes of the wind,
The gentle gliding and swaying of a dry leaf,
The stars twinkling over the roof in the night skies,
The moon peeping looking through our windows on a lonely night,
The rays of the sun seeping into our house,
The smell of earth after a fresh morning shower,
The drizzles of cold raindrops tickling our face,
Ah, this is nature I am getting to know.
But is this the only nature, that I can find?
In every random act of kindness,
In every unconditional smile of a stranger,
In every tear shed out of happiness,
In every peaceful heart that lives its purpose,
In every sincere grateful prayer,
In the inexplicable divine love that wraps all around us,
This too is nature, I am getting to know,
I cherish it deep, in my hearts corner.

Nature is everywhere,
All around us,
Pause,
See it,
Feel it,
Embrace it,
Experience it,
Live it,
Become one with it,
Realize,
Nature is in this,
And this too…
